Greenyield was founded in 1937 by the Tham family, beginning as a modest enterprise rooted in Malaysia's rich agricultural heritage. What started as a small family venture has grown, over the decades, into a respected agro-technology company serving plantation industries and horticultural markets worldwide.
For nearly nine decades, we have remained deeply committed to the land and to the science of growth. Our journey began with a simple yet enduring belief: that with the right knowledge, tools, and care, productivity and sustainability can go hand in hand. This philosophy continues to guide everything we do today.
From our early days in rubber plantations, we developed specialised solutions to enhance yield and operational efficiency — including our proprietary RRIMFLOW and RF6G technologies — alongside high-quality fertilisers, chemicals, and precision tools designed for tropical agriculture. These innovations help rubber estates maximise output responsibly, while maintaining the long-term health of the trees and the environment.
Over time, our expertise expanded naturally into the manufacturing of premium horticultural products. Our Artstone plant pots — crafted using our own formulated materials and processes — are today exported to markets across Europe, the United States, Australia, and Asia. My formation as a planter came not from lecture halls, but from over 25 years of working the land — understanding the soil, the seasons, and the livelihoods that depend on getting the harvest right. I know what works under pressure, what fails in the field, and most importantly, what a grower actually needs to succeed. That hard-earned perspective is the DNA of everything Greenyield builds.
As we look toward the next decade, we are taking the same depth of expertise, engineering rigour, and customer-first thinking that made us successful in rubber — and applying it to the broader agricultural and horticultural world.
